Critter Cam 2 at the Rogue Valley
Humane Society

This web camera is one of two cameras located at the Rogue Valley Humane Society in Grants Pass. This view looks out toward the dog kennel play area and features animals available for adoption.

You can find more information on adopting an animal at the websites for the Humane Society (541-479-5154) and the Josephine County Animal Shelter. Both facilities also have Facebook pages.

The Daily Courier’s five cameras are the largest network of webcams in Josephine County and all of Southern Oregon with live streaming video.

A partnership with high-speed Internet provider Hunter Communications has made it possible to support the massive bandwidth requirements for the Daily Courier’s five cameras.

Hi Bill, we believe he did! He has an abundance of energy and so it was definitely his cup of tea ;)

So wonderful to see Blossom has a home now. Pray that it is a loving one, and help her adjust without her partner.

Sad to see that Blossom wasn't taken with her partner for a forever home. Pray someone who takes her will give her all the love she will need to have a happy life.

Greetings Mr George Owens! Happy New Year to you and your family and thank you for your kind words. There have been many positive changes at the facility since you were last here. If you ever come to Grants Pass, please come by for a tour! Have a great 2017!

Looks like the Internet connection at the Humane Society has gone down. Sorry for the inconvenience.

MR GEORGE OWENS 12/26/2016 5:46:39 pm
Happy new year to all your staff. I know they work very very hard. I was one of them 16 years ago which nobody would remember me. But I remembered all the hard times trying to get a better facility. I would like to urge anyone that loves dogs to leave something in your will to help these people in grants Pass. In California there are many volunteers and money coming from different directions. But it tall like grants pass is a very small community that has limited resources. Want to wish everyone a happy new year. I used to live in lower Road, leaving grants pass was one of the biggest mistakes in my life. Happy new year to all!!

It's wonderful that Fisher is the only dog up for adoption, he must be lonely. And the white fluffy dog also looks all alone. It would be really great if both of them get a home before Christmas. Keep up the great work!!

Hi George! Thanks for checking in on furry friends from time to time. We are currently making some changes in our dog kennels so we had our furry guests in a different portion of our facility. Also, we had a record breaking adoption month for both dogs and cats!! Keep on checking though, we'll fill them up again soon ;)

Just wondering why I never see any dogs in the pens or play yard these days. I try to check at different times and on days when the weather is dry, but haven't seen any in awhile. Am I just checking at the wrong times? ME TO" GEORGE CA '

Animals seem happy :)

So happy you moved the camera back to the right a bit. Now you can see the kennels plus all of their playing area and pool. Seems all the little dogs found homes, see only larger dogs on the adoption site and in the kennels. Haven't seen them out to play outdoors....

Hi Patti. We have an indoor camera because there wasn't enough money for an outdoor, wireless camera. The camera shoots through a window, so, especially this time of year, the glare hits the window for a while. We've looked at other ways to try to set the camera up, but no matter which angle we try, the glare will hit the window at certain times of the day, at certain times of the year.

Patti 9/15/2016 11:10:55 am
Can anything be done to adjust the camera....I love to look at what is going on with the dogs, but the glare is so bad that you can't see. Also, there doesn't appear to be many dogs now, are they somewhere else? thanks. So glad this is site is posted.

Was so glad to see Wilma gone, hopefully she went to a wonderful home where she's treasured. I would have loved to take her but it was just not possible at this time. Wishing for new homes for all the sweet "children"
