“This isn’t about a university failing — it is about an entire community failing and falling apart.” That was one of the comments in a two-and-a-half-hour community meeting at the public library in Medford last week. In attendance were about 230 people, filling the chairs and standing around the walls.

No elected officials from any local jurisdiction attended.
