From rural Southern Oregon kid to big-time Hollywood creator (Off The Beaten Path)

When most folks in rural Southern Oregon answer their phone to hear someone say they are calling from the United Kingdom, the grumpy recipient hangs up while muttering expletives about robocalls.

But I was tickled when I received a call from London earlier this week. After all, the caller was Luke Freeborn, a kind, thoughtful and brilliant fellow I’ve known since he was a young lad in Williams some 40 years ago.
