Krissy Garwood went 5-for-5 with three doubles to lead Rogue River to a 22-8 non-league softball win over Illinois Valley on Wednesday in Cave Junction.

The Class 3A Chieftains (5-15) scored four runs in the first inning, five in the second, seven in the third and six in the fourth to end the game early.

The 2A Cougars (4-13) put up two in the first, one in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth.
