Last week’s beautiful blue skies ushered me outside to search the garden for early signs of spring.

And there they were — the pink, pom-pom blooms of the evergreen camellia in my side yard, the cheery yellow daffodils that have emerged from their leaf-mulched beds and the marble-sized buds of my orangish-red quince coming into early flower.

Indeed, spring is signaling that its on its way.
