Lois H. Culver
Lois H. Culver, 92, of Grants Pass died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her home.

![](/images/invisi.gif) Culver was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Lake Charles, La. Her family moved to Vernonia and then to Longview, Wash., where she spent her childhood. At the end of World War II, she lived in Japan for six months and then moved to Southern California. In 1950, in California, she married Howard Culver, a radio and television personality who died in 1984. She taught painting and decorative arts and she co-owned a hobby shop. In 1993, she moved to Grants Pass.
![](/images/invisi.gif) She was instrumental in forming OTR (Old Time Radio) Chat Channel on the Internet. She enjoyed traveling to Central America, South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and the South Pacific. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, sunshine, her bird and her family.
![](/images/invisi.gif) Survivors include twin daughters, Patti and Kathi Culver, both of Cave Junction; a brother, Ed Hayes of Longview, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
