Donald M. Steinert

  Donald M. Steinert, 60, of Provolt died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at his home.

  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gregory Moys presiding. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

  Steinert was born Sept. 22, 1948, in Chicago. He grew up in Pico Rivera, Calif., and graduated from Loyola High School in 1966. In 1970, he graduated from Santa Clara University in California. At the Santa Clara Mission, he married Pat Marco. They were married for 32 years before divorcing. In 1979, he and his wife moved to the Grants Pass area and settled in Provolt.

  He taught industrial arts at Grants Pass High School prior to establishing his automotive woodwork restoration business and he restored the woodwork of Rolls Royces nationwide.

  He enjoyed woodworking, backpacking, ballroom dancing, camping, interior design and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

  Survivors include his former wife, Pat Steinert of Grants Pass; his twin daughters, Emily Moline and Alanna Garcia, both of Grants Pass; a brother, Eddie Steinert of Arkansas; and a grandson.
