The Grants Pass School Board on Tuesday will consider new rules making it harder to qualify as a valedictorian.

Under a proposed policy, students must take at least eight Advanced Placement courses to qualify as a valedictorian, up from four.

The proposed rule changes also eliminates the designation "salutatorian."

During the last school year, Grants Pass High School had a record number of valedictorians — 27. Read More »
