Fall Creek Falls (near Glide, Ore.)

Rating (Out of 5): 3.5

Location: Near Roseburg/Glide, Ore.

Distance: 2 miles

Quick hit: This hike is very nice and easy, traversing a mossy wooded canyon alongside the silver rivulet of Fall Creek. The waterfall itself is a 50-foot cascade — the largest in the area — plunging down into a misty, oval-shaped pool.

Directions: From I-5 near Roseburg, take exit 124 and follow Highway 138 east for 32 miles. Pass the town of Glide and turnoffs for Susan Creek Falls. Look for the trailhead on the left side of the road between mileposts 32 & 33.
