A utility crew repairs a downed line on Seventh Street in Grants Pass on Thursday. The downed line is forcing traffic to detour off of Seventh Street, a state highway.

At least one lane has been reopened after a downed power line forced a detour off of busy Seventh Street in Grants Pass on Thursday.

The Oregon Department of Transportation announced the partial reopening at 1:10 p.m. Seventh Street in Grants Pass is part of Highway 99, a state highway.

The closure was the result of a downed power line reported by ODOT just before 11:30 a.n.

The detour was being rerouted at Northeast Evelyn Street and onto residential Eighth Street, causing a lengthy backup.

The power line is adjacent to Papa Murphy's pizza. It appears a delivery truck collided with a power pole.

Utility crews are on scene.
